We're delighted to have been successful in an appeal which led to our client, aged 18 obtaining leave to enter to join the father in the UK on the basis of his family and private life.
The Home Office had refused the initial application and stated that our client’s sponsor did not have sole responsibility and disputed the paternity of the sponsor.
It’s extremely difficult to be successful in children’s appeals at the Immigration Tribunal where the child is almost 18 years and parental responsibility is shared with the UK-based parent.
